I think I was one of the first customers to receive my helmet, not completely sure. My first impression was this is great. After I downloaded the app, and started playing with the helmet (in my house), my second impression was still great, but I was not quite as enthusiastic... Still a great helmet, but SO MUCH going on, it was a little overwhelming. I did have some minor issues, all resolved QUICKLY by the help desk. My first bike ride was great. The information is right at your fingertips, great video thru HUD. etc. As iCRider has stated, the wind noise is a bit much with the version 1.1... Looking forward to version 1.3. I (obviously) ordered version 1.0 of the helmet, and I did order it in too big a size. iCRider told me when version 1.1 ships, they'll send me one size smaller... Customer service rocks just as much as the product!

My first ride today so a little overwhelmed with all the options on offer to me. The most comfortable helmet I’ve ever owned but I can only compare it to Shoei and Arai over my 50+ years riding.
Aerodynamics are great and there’s no fatigue after a day ride. The field of view is very good and the photo chromatic antifog visor was awesome for me as my eyes are sensitive. The ventilation is great at the front pushing airflow across the visor. Too cool today to have it open for long though.
I need to read the operating introductions using the controller before my second run because I made a few mistakes today. I thought I was filming using the front camera but only got footage from the rear cameras.
Overall extremely satisfying after my 10yr wait.

We completely understand feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the features at first – there's definitely a lot to explore, but it sounds like you're already experiencing some significant benefits. Just remember, you control what features to use.
It's incredible that after 50+ years of riding and comparing us to brands like Shoei and Arai, you've found our helmet to be the most comfortable you've ever owned. Regarding your filming experience, it sounds like you were having fun experimenting! Currently, our software records only from the Front Camera. To ensure you're capturing that forward-facing footage, please make sure the PCB toggle switch (located inside the helmet, next to the power button) is in the up position.

i can tell you that this is a amazing helmet. also they are very responsive to any issues or questions you may have. i definetely can not wait until they swap out mine for the 1.1 version with the additional battery updates and wind protection. for anyone looking for a tech helmet i recommend the icr+

Back when I found the Kickstarter for this idea, I knew that if it ever came to be one day, I simply HAD to have one. From the very beginning there have been consistent and comprehensive updates regarding every aspect of progress on the helmet. From day one, every inquiry has been quickly and clearly addressed by a real human being that never once left me wanting for better customer service.
Ok on to the good stuff. After riding with this helmet for about a week now, there is A LOT I am very happy with and very little I have an issue with. First and foremost, the fit is seriously amazing, bravo! It is perfectly snug while not having any real uncomfortable points inside (not including one already addressed in v1.2).
Packaging is very clean and your brand new icr helmet comes in a nice black drawstring bag inside a uniquely folded black box with owners booklet and parts. After following the QR code received with the rest of the packaging, I watched a couple videos on setup, admittedly had to reach out to live chat for support a couple times, and was up and running in a matter of 10 or 15 min.
First ride with the helmet was overall really impressive. I expected an odd and obtrusive 'thing' sitting in front of my eye displaying a distorted dual feed rear view. A clunky and heavy piece of kit that was more novelty than anything else. And unimpressive internal speakers that couldnt really overcome highway road noise similar to every other conpany thats taken a whack at it. To my surprise however, what I got was nothing like that at all.
The 'screen' if you can call it that, is perfectly positioned out of your main line of sight and really only becomes visible when actively focusing on it. It appears clearly over the right half of the visor while also remaining transparent enough to see through to the road without any trouble. While the super wide view from the rear cameras takes some acclimating, the camera feed itself is clear and seemingly without any latency at all, even at night. The only marks agsinst this part of the helmet in my opinion would be; the native UI could use a bit of work on both the helmet side and the mobile side. Icon labeling within the helmet UI could also be a bit more comprehensive. And finally, the mounting apparatus for the display appears to be fixed with double sided adhesive to the lining fabric. Mine came loose while trying to adjust the display positioning but was easily and quickly fixed by replacing the adhesive with VHB tape.
I was really happy to find that my biggest fear regarding the helmet was without merit. The helmet is surprisingly light considering everything it houses. The longest I've gone with it so far is 2hr20min ish, and didn't experience any weight related discomfort that was out of the ordinary for me on a ride this long. The intake and exhaust vents do well to keep fog off the visor at low speed, and dont seem to add too much internal noise at higher speeds. No real conplaints here, the magnetic chin strap latch is really smooth and easy to use however the strap itself to me seems much too long.
The sound from the internal speakers, while not perfect is certainly loud enough to make up for anything they may lack in overall sound quality. My only complaint in this area would be with how the ear cups are fixed in place (velcro), and the rigidity of the material they're padded with. On a number of occasions I have had to reposition the ear cups because the were dislodged while putting on or taking of the helmet. When they do stay in place, they seem to deform under your ears and require some manipulating to actually cover the ear properly and comfortably. I feel like a more permanent fixture and more rigid padding may assist with this.
To sum up, I'm absolutely in love with this helmet and i hope i havent left anything out. It's not often that a product enters the market space so far and away superior to everything else in the space. Are there improvements that can be made? Of course. But regardless, this is the new standard in my opinion and this is just their first product offering. From what I understand, a version 2.0 is already in the works and just about every gripe mentioned in my review is either already addressed or being addressed. ICR has a customer for life in me and I couldn't be happier to share this opinion with anyone who cares to hear it.

Just received the IC-RS+. I am still learning how to operate this helmet. It’s packed with so much technology and rider features. Not just the safety features, which the website lists, but the fun stuff. How about having a Heads Up Display in your helmet that offers more options then a IPhone.
I look forward to using this helmet on all rides and journeys. I would recommend to anyone on the fence, go ahead and pull the trigger, you will be impressed.

I have had my iC-Rs+ (Sports Plus Edition) now for a month. Best damn helmet I’v had. The vents are great, but extremely quiet. Fits well and Apple CarPlay works well. There is a bit of a leaning curve using the display, and control switch but that should be expected. Regardless, I appreciate the ability to toggle to cameras then back to CarPlay with one touch. If you value a safe riding experience then invest in it! By the way, this is actually the “white” carbon fiber color.

I have been riding motorcycles for over 40 years. I have always bought the best helmets as I am focused on safety and security. My last helmet was a top of the line Arai.
My IC-R+ helmet is better than any other helmet I have ever owned. It has features that no other helmet has. It is made to keep us riders safe and aware of our surroundings. I am so happy with my IC-R+ that words just can't describe it.
I am a combat veteran and I know the value of a good helment. BTW, as a veteran you get a substantial discount.
